Glen Waverley Toastmasters Club
Christmas Party 2009

The Glen Waverley Toastmasters Club held its Christmas Party on Friday December 11th 2009
at the Burvale Hotel.  Corner of Springvale Road & Burwood Highway Nunawading.

Each year, the Glen Waverley Toastmasters Club awards key members of the club for their outstanding Achievements throughout the year. The Awards are:

• The Glen Waverley Toastmasters Club, Toastmaster of the Year
• The Glen Waverley Toastmasters Club, Most Improved Speaker of the Year Award and
• The Glen Waverley Toastmasters Club encouragement Award

The Awards are determined by a vote taken of the Glen Waverley Toastmasters Committee of Management prier to the Christmas Party.  In this year's case none of the recipients were expecting their awards, so it was a nice surprise for them.

Please join me to congratulate Gillian Russell, Natalie Wirth, and Susan Reyes on their achievements.

Gillian Russell Accepting Toastmaster of the Year Award for 2009

Gillian Russell achieved her Toastmaster of the Year award, by representing our club at other clubs, both for normal visits and judging in their contests. Also, she has given outstanding mentoring to new and old members alike.

Natalie Wirth Accepting Most Improved Speaker of the Year Award for 2009

Natalie Wirth achieved her most improved speaker award because over the last year she’s improved her speaking and her ability to evaluate. Natalie is now truly a pleasure to listen to and offers good advice when she’s evaluating other Toastmasters

Susan Reyes Accepting Encouragement Award for 2009

Susan Reyes is encouraged to continue her speaking as she’s achieved much in her time at Glen Waverley Toastmasters. We encourage Susan to continue developing her skills as an evaluator.
