The Aims of the
Glen Waverley Toastmasters Club

The aims of this Club are to help our members to:

• Improve their abilities to communicate effectively
• Listen and to read analytically
• Undergo leadership training
• Appear before audiences and to creditably express their thoughts
• Obtain fair and constructive evaluation of their efforts toward self-improvement
• Have access to educational materials and opportunities which will give them skill and xperience in the preparation and delivery of speeches
• Increase their knowledge of the rules of parliamentary procedure and their skills in conducting meetings, particularly in group discussions
